Business Strategy Content Summary Creators
TMLS and MLOps gatherings have hosted hundreds of hours of recorded content across various themed tracks; from business strategy to technical case-studies to MLOps and more. Each of our events host practical lessons, takeaways, and discussions across various industries, which have been recorded for our group of ~9,000 data practitioners and executives.
To help our audience maximize their learnings, we’re selecting the most impactful talks to highlight and summarize in our bi-weekly newsletter. The newsletter will explore the intersection of business strategy and practical ML technology by offering executive summaries of past talks, additional commentary and analysis, and invites to group networking.
What is the opportunity?
We’re currently looking for volunteers to join our team and help review and summarize selected video’s, as well as provide some context around the importance of the messages within each summary.
Content can include summaries around cutting edge;
- ML Strategies
- Business Case Studies
- Model Transparency and Regulation
- Operationalizing end-to-end Machine Learning Applications
- Data Governance
- Overcoming Legacy Systems
- Identifying Highest Priority Areas

What will you do?
- Analyze, summarize past talks (video or transcripts) to that will be used within the newsletter for ~9,000 recipients.
- Ensure summaries are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budgets.
- Confirm that summaries adhere to editorial standards and guidelines
- Work with our team to better understand important topics of ML and AI.

Editorial Content Researchers
Do you have a passion for Machine Learning? Do you like to see new case studies, speak with thought-leaders, and uncover new ways in which it’s being used in applications; industry or research?
What is the opportunity?
We’re currently looking for content researchers to help us uncover new and innovative applications of ML across a variety of themes, both technical and business strategic.
The work will be used within our newsletter to offer helpful and interesting insights for our community, which will go out to our group of ~9,000 community members.
What will you do?
- In coordination with the 2 video’s of the week, the Researcher will provide interesting/helpful online resources to compliment newsletter themes.
- Explore industrial case studies of relevance
- Tap into our community to find past speakers and event attendees that can offer additional commentary and personal stories to compliment the discussion.
- Help summarize learning lessons in a palatable format for the editor

Round Table Facilitators
Are you interested in getting out in front of the community, meeting others, and learning about interesting applications of ML? TMLS is helping coordinate a series of unconference-styled networking initiatives and are looking for volunteers to join our team.
What is the opportunity?
We can’t meet in person but that doesn’t mean we can’t network and meet with others.
We’re encouraging our community to come share their work, projects, and challenges in small groups that will be facilitated by a Round Table Facilitator. The Round-table facilitator will act as the facilitator in small group virtual gatherings that follow a format that will allow for short group presentations, and follow-up discussions around common interests.
What will you do?
- The facilitator will make sure group gatherings run smoothly by moderating an easy-to-follow flow of short presentations and follow-up discussions.
- The facilitator will make sure participants have a chance to engage, and discussion topics of shared interest.

TMLS & MLOps Chapter Leads
Are you interested in gathering a community of likeminded ML practitionres? TMLS and MLOps World is looking for local leaders to organize chapters within their community.
What is the opportunity?
We can’t meet in person but that doesn’t mean we can’t network and meet with others.
The chapter lead will help organize a series of gatherings online, that will help highlight the work of your local community, and connect them to the broader community of practitioners.
What will you do?
- The chapter lead will help set up and run a series of community events that focus on the intersection of ML technical themes and business strategy.
- Using the resources of TMLS and MLOps community to help source speakers, and uncover priority topics for the local community.

Intern, Meeting & Events, Winter 2023 Student
What is the opportunity?
- Support our international teams to successfully execute virtual conferences for our international chapters through digital platforms
- Coordinate event schedules and speakers for international summits by our international chapter teams and committees.
- Manage online registration tools and media platforms.
What will you do?
- Build and Manage online registration tools (Hopin.to, Eventbrite, and others)
- Coordinate production schedules for projects managed by the Meetings & Events team
- Provide administrative support as it relates but not limited to meeting planning; Registration, speaker times, on-boarding etc.
- Communicate with international teams in a skilled and professional manner.
- Help coordinate marketing activities
- Help coordinate with the design team to provide graphics and media for international chapters
What do you need to succeed? Must-have/Required:
- Working towards a degree/diploma or equivalent in event management or related field
- Planning, organizational and implementation skills
- Communications and writing skills
- Initiative and self-reliance with the ability to function autonomously
- Customer service orientation
- Flexibility, initiative, teamwork & cooperation & relationship building
- Ability to learn online software for event management and planning
Additional:
- Minimum 1 year of volunteer experience in meeting/event planning
- Graphic design knowledge beneficial for various projects (but not required)
