Big Ideas, Innovations, Creative Explorations
About the track
The field of AI is moving at breakneck speed, and while teams race to capture value, the biggest opportunities often lie with big, bold ideas and creative, outside-the-box approaches.
This track embraces that chaos. It features fun, quirky applications and methodologies that didn’t come with a playbook – and big ideas that ask us to step back and look at where we are as practitioners, innovators, makers and users of AI. Every talk still ends in something real: a result, a working system, a lesson you can take home.
Come to this track to be enlightened, inspired, and to meet the folks pushing the boundaries of our craft

David Scharbach is the founder of the Toronto Machine Learning Society (TMLS) and MLOps World, two of the largest community-driven gatherings focused on machine learning in production. Over the past decade, he has organized more than a hundred summits, workshops, and micro-events, bringing together tens of thousands of practitioners, researchers, and business leaders to share real-world, no-fluff lessons on deploying and operationalizing ML and AI systems.
David’s work centers on building open, practitioner-first spaces where teams can candidly compare notes on what actually works in production, from infrastructure, cost management, and ROI to agentic systems and AI sovereignty. As track lead, he draws on that community perspective to curate sessions grounded in real case studies and hard-won operational lessons.
